Book Review: "This book will save your life...only if you have money"

I was very excited to get this book as I'd read most of Neil's previous books. I found myself getting bored in the beginning with all the past references to what's been happening to this country. Neil can't help but to state his political view throughout the book blaming Bush for everything.
At Neil's book signing he explained that humans learn best through metaphors and stories which Mystery says as well. The problem with this story is that it just isn't that interesting. I have 100 pages left to go and I don't feel compelled to finish it. I'll get to it eventually but it doesn't draw me in at all even though survival interests me. In The Game, there was drama and a villain but in this book there is neither. It's basically about a bunch of pessimistic fearful individuals who would pay anything to get what they think they needed. The problem with some of the stuff in the book is that you have to be a bit rich to do and learn most of it. I can't afford to buy property in a small island country. It seems Neil likes to describe a stressful situation at the beginnings of his books and then leaves the reader hanging. Then later on he links the story back to the first moment. It doesn't work well with this book because killing a goat didn't interest me.
Neil is still a great writer and I like the humorous one liners he randomly throws in. I would definitely buy his next book because I like him and his writing style.
