Book Review: A perfect ending!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is the final book in the "Emily the Chickadee" trilogy. We find out that the young girl has sold her house and has to move far, far away. She is feeling sad because not only does she have to leave everything familiar behind, she wonders if she will ever again see her little birdie friend Emily. After a long cold winter spring finally arrives and to the little girl's amazement she finds twigs and straw strewn on the front porch of her new home. When she looks up she is surprised to see a tiny nest being build in the hanging wreath right on her front door. She is delighted to discover that the owner in the nest is guess who? - yes, her precious birdie friend Emily. This is a true story of continued love as Emily has found and followed her human girlfriend to her new home. Emily raises three new babies as the young girl watches with intense interest from her window. This amazing true story is written in rhyme. The illustrations are very rich and beautiful. A "Chickadee Log" is included at the end of book so the readers can observe and record happenings in their own backyard. A delightful series that brings children into a nature connection that is lovely and memorable. I recommend this book highly.
