Book Review: Complimentary medicine starts to find a home?

I had my first 'energy experience' in 1993 and have been fascinated by the topic ever since. Over the years I experimented with various different techniques and eventually qualified as a Reiki practitioner. I have however, been looking for ways of explaining my experiences and those of my patients in scientific terms and to understand why western medicine has failed to grasp what millions of people around the world have already experienced first-hand.In this book James Oschman pulls together threads of research from different branches of medical research as well as other areas of science and puts forward theories that might explain some of the phenomena found in 'energy medicine'.
I found the book fascinating from start to finish; it opened my eyes to many other alternative therapies and the growing body of scientific research that is being conducted around the globe, which is gradually finding pieces of the jigsaw.
Is this book for everyone? Probably not. But if you are involved in mainstream or complimentary medicine then I would recommend it without hesitation.
