Book Review: A difficult read

I bought this book for my son (age 9) who needed to read a biography for school. It is a very hard read for a 9 year old - I would recommend it for 12 and above. For example, it compares Houdini to "a modern day Pygmalion" - what 9 year old ( or even adult) knows what that means. It goes on to define it but it is still very hard for kids to understand. Again, good book but not for 3rd/4th or even 5th graders in my opinion.
