Most people go from rags to riches but in Esperanza Rising by: Pam Munoz Ryan Esperanza goes from riches to rags. But I'm not telling you how, your going to have to read the book to find out. This book is great, it's about a girl of 13who learns to be strong and overcome her fear of not trusting people aren't like her. This book is a must read book.
The characters in this book are kind of different from most books. There's Esperanza a girl who's 13 who is kind of confused about which side of the river she's supposed to be on, Miguel who is 17and is a hard worker, Ramona Esperanzas beautiful mother and hortensia a caring housekeeper who is like a second mom to Esperana. All these characters came from a ranch called El Rancho de las Rosas but after a tragic accident they had to escape from Mexico and move to the U.S. on to a migrate farm in California. When they get to the farm Esperanza's chore is to sweep but she was so wealthy she didn't know how to sweep!!!
Everyone should read this book because it's sad; action packed, and makes you want to never stop reading. Esperanza Rising is a must read book it's a book for all ages so read Esperanza Rising!!!!!
