Book Reviews of FairestBook Review: disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
not as fancinating as i thought it would have been. it is ok. but it has put me off with other of her books now.
i was first attracted by the movie " ella enchanted". that was excellent.
Book Review: fair by nature Summary: 4 Stars
Aza, although a homely young woman, is the finest singer in her county. In the tradition of fairy tale heroines, she was abandoned as a baby and adopted by a family. Naturally, as she grows, she becomes curious as to who her birth parents were. When her talent as a songstress catches the ear of a duchess, she is taken to meet the royal family, and later blackmailed into performing for the Queen, whose own voice is merely pleasant. When the fickle Queen turns on her, Aza is forced to flee and embarks on a journey to clear her name. And oh yes, there is a handsome prince in the tale, too.
I enjoyed this book but found it rather lightweight. Unlike the New York Times reviewer, however, I did not find Aza particularly "mopey," instead her concern about her appearance seemed entirely believable for a teen of her age. Still, it got me thinking about the fact that we never see Harry Potter lamenting the fact that he wears glasses. It would be nice if today's heroines had a bit more self-confidence to start with.

this book is misleeding and a dissapointment. it left me hanging with many questions and mad. aza never goes on a dangerous journey and i want to konw what happens to her birthparent and who they are.
Book Review: good, but not the best Summary: 4 Stars
I enjoyed "fairest", but I dont think it was up to the same level as "Ella Enchanted". The style of the book was relatively the same, but I believe that Ella is a much more likeable character than Aza. I do think that it is a very good book (as is most of Levine's works) and definitely worth reading.
