I bought this book for a friend for her 18th birthday as a keep sake although she was a little old for this title. However while glancing through it I was amazed at how captivating it was. From the beautifully decorated cover to little tiny opening maps, letters and envelopes within this stunningly beautiful book. It is enjoyable for all ages for anybody who appreciates a childhood innocence within their lives it will take them back to a childhood full of dreams and fantasy. This enchanting book takes you into the life of Cecily Mary Barker were wonderful sketches and paintings are presented in this hard back journal. I can barely describe this book it truely is the most beautiful book I have seen or read and is a must for any little girl, and indeed a beautiful gift for people of all ages. I loved this book so much I bought a copy for myself to have, and I am constantly fascinated by little quotes and sections which I have missed, I never grow tired of looking at it. All in all a fantastic light read, stunning delicate paintings which fill the enire pages turning it into a scrapbook of wonder.
