Robin Preiss Glasser has tapped into everything that five year old girls adore. Every picture is effusive with details. One need not even read the story to love this book. My daughter got this book on her 4th birthday and Fancy nancy is our new religion. We read it every night twice and then she pretends to be fancy nancy and we act out the story.
