Jaques offers a number of fast dishes that taste like they've been cooking all day. The recipes are easy to follow and brought a fresh new taste to my kitchen. I frequently turn to this book both on a busy weeknight after work and a lazy Sunday afternoon. The book is a companion to the TV show that currently airs on public television. I was intrigued by the PBS series, to which this book is the companion. Have tried two of the recipes so far and they have been immediate, and repeated hits. I will certainly cook from this book again and again. Gorgeous photography, easy to follow directions and valuable tips. I was SO excited to get this book for Christmas. I got hooked on watching Jacques Pepin on PBS a while back, and it always impresses me how he can quickly put together such elegant and delicious meals. The book is nicely organized, and it offers recipes and ideas you can use for entertaining or for just a yummy, quick weeknight meal. I'll definitely be referring to this quite often!
