Book Review: Pleasently surprised Summary: 4 Stars
I have only made one recipe (chickpea rague), but it was very good and went over well with my meat-and-potatos man. I found the book easy to read (I did not find the font color challenging), and it's quite simple to make subtle ingrediate substitutions. I've used a few of the other recipes as "inspirations" behind other dishes I hadn't ever cosidered before. I would recommend it as I'm not exactly a novice in the the kitchen but definitely need lots of help, especially with meal planning. It just forces me to think outside the "pasta, stir-fry, or chicken" rut after work.
Book Review: Revolution in the kitchen Summary: 5 Stars
We love Jacques. In fact, we've built an altar to him. This is a wonderful cookbook and is perfect for VERY busy families!
Book Review: Simpler does not mean less tasty Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best cookbook, in my opinion, for those of us who have busy lifestyles but still prefer delicious home cooked meals. I have given numerous copies of this as gifts and the recipients have all been appreciative. I have tried 75% of the recipes, which is amazing in itself, and only one dish was disappointing. I own many of Jacque's cookbooks and this is the one I turn to time and time again. Happy cooking!
