Book Reviews of Firefly: The Official Companion: Volume One

Book Review: Totally Awesome TV
Summary: 5 Stars

Great science fiction and excellent characters - biggest problem is that it only ran one season so right when you are most into it you get cut off. Adds two components rarely seen in sci-fi. 1) Until technology makes people bullet proof, people will shot each other with good old-fashioned bullets. 2) People will always get in bar fights.

Tremendously entertaining with very smart dialog.

Book Review: A Book for Every Browncoat
Summary: 5 Stars

Every Browncoat should have this book -- and of course Volume 1 as well. Together they provide all the scripts of the TV show, interviews, and "insider" information. Good stuff.

Book Review: When you're lonely for the 'verse, pick up the Companion
Summary: 5 Stars

Can't get enough of the Firefly series? Then this book will ease your pain.

From the first feel of this book's thick glossy pages, I found myself savoring Whedon's beautiful creation all over again. The closeup photographs of various Firefly props-- Mal's gun, Zoe's vest, the spacesuits--captured this world even more vividly than I had expected. Cast interviews added depth to my understanding of the characters.

But, best of all, was reading the shooting scripts and seeing how Whedon originally envisioned the episodes. I love seeing how he uses language, camera angles and shifting scenes to create emotion.

If you're a fan of Firefly, this is a must have companion to ease the loss of a beloved show.

Book Review: Terrific book for Firefly fans
Summary: 5 Stars

As with volume 1, this book is beautifully illustrated and contains a wealth of interviews and scripts. It has many photos of props and remarkably detailed descriptions of Jayne's weapons, as well as articles on some of the fan efforts. Sure to thrill any fan of the show.

Book Review: So good, it hurts!
Summary: 5 Stars

Browncoats, get this! Now!

Where is our sequel? This story is the best si-fi ever!
