Book Review: The best book that I've read
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is the best book that I've ever read!! It will make you think about your marriage and what you can do to make things better. THe book is well written and inspring to so many people that I've talked to. You can't go wrong with this one. I read it in one night because I couldn't put it down!

Book Review: The book is much like the movie....
Summary: 4 Stars

which makes since because the movie was written first. I thought that the parts that were added to make the book more substantial really add to what happened in the movie. If you have seen the movie I would suggest that you read the book first. I normally read the books before I see the movies, but in this case I would say it is okay to do the opposite because they are so close to being the same thing.

Book Review: This is a must see, even if you're not married.
Summary: 5 Stars

Beautiful movie! We live in an age that watching a movie with your family is getting more difficult. We have a 15 year old, who watched this film also. I was very pleased about the content of this film, how it tackled lifes issues in the modern times we live in. Sherwood Church has outdone themselves on this film. To God be the glory for giving them the vision to produce this film, which I believe will minister to every person who watches it. Please recommend to all your family and friends.

Book Review: Uplifting, Real, Inspiring Book!
Summary: 5 Stars

We saw this in the theater and I loved it, laughed, cried... :) It has such a positive message. I feel disheartened at times by the number of movies that glorify affairs and spouses who tear each other down and apart. Now that I am reading the book, I have trouble putting it down at night. It's so inspiring and encouraging. Thank you for this story!

Book Review: Witness
Summary: 4 Stars

Fireproof is a movie that depicts a fire captain struggling with his marriage while his career is on the rise. It is a story that exemplifies actual marriage circumstances. In a time where marriage, a sacred covenant, is just another business transaction, divorce is climbing at an unstoppable rate and love is synonymous to hello, Fireproof establishes the difference between what behavior or attitude that is acceptable or not acceptable in a marriage. It is a fire extinguisher that could help couples prevent certain problems in their marriage, salvage their marriage, sooth character changes, and also serve as a witnessing tool to propagate the gospel.
At times couples in their first three year of marriage tend to notice each other's faults, attitudes, weaknesses and short-comings without seeing their own. Most of those flaws were always there but living with the other person is a whole new reality. To save his marriage, he had to recognize his flaws, put aside his pride, and change his behaviors despite the wife's response. Whether you just tied the knot or you have been married for a long time, Fireproof can help prepare you and your spouse for the hard times before they occur, and if you are going through the fire it will teach you how to handle it and how to get out of it without breaking apart.
In the movie, the husband did not want to hear the gospel. As a result, his dad passed him a book titled Love Dare. The Love Dare book is a devotional book that contains a 40 day list of dares. In that book, for every day there is an advice and instructions about a subject and spaces to write thoughts. When he began to read the Love Dare book that his dad gave him, he became more open to hearing the gospel. Through the 40 days challenge, the husband began to experience personal change. As he continued reading the book, his volatile attitude and perverse behavior had progressively diminished. His wife started to notice the changes and he eventually was delivered from all the flaws that hindered his marriage.
Fireproof showcases the need to have a personal relationship with Christ and how Christ should be the center in any relationship. In the movie, he had a coworker that would witness to him. Those scenes were pretty simple steps on how to approach unsaved associates or coworkers who do not want to hear about the gospel. As he read the Love Dare, that coworker became his personal pastor to guide him or give him some understanding on how to behave like Christ regarding certain subjects within the book. At the end, he ultimately accepted Jesus Christ as his savior.
Last but not least, Fireproof can be a witnessing tool for the gospel. Just like the dad gave his son the book, if someone knows of any couples who are not believers or struggling in their marriage, the movie can serve as a tool to save their marriage and as a witness tool to lead them to Christ. It can teach its viewers about acceptable attitudes and behavior in a marriage. It can provide certain problems in their marriage and sooth character changes. Anyone can use that movie to witness to unbelievers.
