Book Review: Great Movie

This movie gives a realistic view of a marriage after the new has worn off. Instead of both people giving up one tries to overcome the wrong and do the right thing. I think all couples should watch this at least once a year.

I bought this book because the movie wasn't available in my area and I didn't want to wait for the DVD to come out. I also bought the Fireproof couples kit which has a DVD with clips from the movie and a workbook for each spouse with discussion questions plus activities for couples to go through together. Both of these, the book and the kit, have been helpful in building a stronger marriage.
The book is based on the movie so it's not the best literature in the world. I felt that some scenes probably come off better in the movie. That said, it's a wonderful story that brought laughter and tears. I believe every couple will relate in one way or the other to the characters in the story.

You don't have to worry about your family seeing anything that is inappropriate. More importantly they will hear God's message for all. I was so excited to find a book that I just wanted to read until I was finished with it. I have to admit that many times I get bored easily and move on to a different book. This book was wonderful! The author does a great job of going back and forth between the "scenes" at home, at the firehouse, and at the hospital, keeping your attention the whole time.
I loved it!
