With all the charm and romance an Irish tale weaves, this first time author captures the essence of the legend and lore of the Selkies. While the book is an easy read, it never insults the adult intelligence of the reader. The story engulfs you as it takes you back to an Ireland that sings the old heritage of a country graced with thatched roof cottages nestled by the Irish Sea. The reader becomes enamored with the major characters as you follow their Selkie love story. This book is a wonderful addition to any shelf that enjoys collecting the Irish tales told by the Seanchie from days gone by; however, this time its' text is written by an American-Irish author who is proud of her ancestors & their magical fables!
