in my opinion this whole series was just great. full of intrigue, and held my interest. when i started with the first, in the series, i thought that this may be a chick book. i was soon to find out otherwise. i had to wait for this last one for about 3 months. next time i will wait till they are all out, then buy the whole set. very enjoyable.Book Review: Forever

I have read this book plus the other 4 in the series. They are all fabulous and I enjoyed them immensely and have donated them to my church library. I have read all of Karen Kingsbury's books and am looking forward to Sunrise when it is released.

You must read all five books of this series to truly appreciate the Baxter family saga. Karen Kingsbury is an excellent Christian writer and her books are inspiring. They deal with things that are experienced by everyone. "Forever" is a fitting climax to the Firstborn series.

His new found family and fiancee wait and pray, but the challenges ahead do not end when he wakes up, they only begin.
**** This story feels very real. While all the characters are Christian, none of them are white-bread, cardboard, overly pious bits of fluff that are too Pollyanna-ish to be believed. Each of them faces temptations, whether it is lust, anger, unforgiveness, or waning faith. I wish more writers had Ms. Kingsbury's honesty about the life of faith. Her skill is such that even if you have missed the other books in the series, you can follow the plot of this one easily. She is a treasure for Christian readers. ****
