Book Reviews of Freaky Friday

Book Review: Freaky Friday
Summary: 4 Stars

A good book
a reader
I thought this book was boring in the beginning thats why I gave it 4stars instead of 5 stars. I like the part when Annabelle switches places with her mother and gets in a lot of messes. I wonder what else is going to happen to her. She already forgot to pick up her brother from the bus stop and got in trouble by the police. Annabelle also ruined the washing machine and was late for a conference.

Book Review: Get the original
Summary: 4 Stars

I re-read a newer edition of my beloved Freaky Friday as an adult. The first one I read was the original, published in 1972. The one I read later was missing significant lines and had been changed to be more politically correct. Whether or not political correctness is a good thing isn't the point; the point is that sometimes we need to put the things we read into the time frame in which they were written. Imagine updating all of Dickens' work so that it was completely unoffensive to anyone today. While Freaky Friday might not be a classic on the scale of Dickens, the same principle applies. Read this one in its original format. You might gasp VERY slightly, but it's not going to kill you. In fact, it gives a great look at the early '70s inside of a fantastically-written and imagined story.

Book Review: I love this book i really think that you sould read it!!!!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

I think that the book Freaky Friday by Mary Rodgers is really good. It's about a teenage girl named Annabelle Andrews, her mom and her little brother that she calls "Ape Face." Annabelle thinks that her mom has a better life. This all happens in a restaurant were her mom, her moms' fiancé, her little brother and her going to. The owner of the restaurant give Annabelle and her mom a fortune cookie and then they open it at the dame time and read it at the same time but they don't know it, they both hallucinate and feel an earthquake. The next morning they wake up and there in each other's bodies they are really freaked out. I really like the book it was so hilarious I was practically laughing the whole time. I really think that if other people read it they would not have a plain face on the whole time. I didn't like it because the movie had more information so I thought that the movie was a little better.

Book Review: I read this book a zillion times
Summary: 4 Stars

Before the Freaky Friday recent movie, I had already seen the old Freaky Friday movie, listened to a Freaky Friday audio tape, and read the book at least three times. I loved it. Even at a young age, any girl can relate to the main character-moms can get annoying, but I guess at the end you realize her mom was just misunderstood. Sweet, funny, but overdone in the 2nd movie.
