Book Review: A great book for young boys...
Summary: 5 Stars
A story about the passage of time and life, yearly summer visits from old aunties, and trepidation on the eve of the first day of school for 6-year-old Garmann. Being a story about a boy, I find that the pictures are attractive for boys - some funny, some pretty, all detailed - and the storyline caters to feelings and experiences any young boy, whether growing up in Norway (the story's origin), Germany (as mine does), or America, could relate to. It's about a 15-20 minute read, including time taken to look at the pictures or even to talk about what was just read.
