Book Review: Well-written and a very absorbing read

Having met TV at a recent gig, I thought this book was probably worth buying, and that I might 'dip into' it from time to time. What I hadn't bargained on was spending two days reading it from cover to cover, thoroughly absorbed in his account of life on the road!
There's some interesting coverage at the beginning of the book about The Adverts, but it then launches into a day-by-day account of his adventures in the UK and Europe (especially Germany, where he is very popular). His observational skills, enthusiasm and sense of humour are manifest on every page, and I found reading it an unexpected delight. If he wasn't so busy with his songwriting and gigs, maybe someone would consider employing him as a newspaper columist.
The 'years' to which the diary entries refer are not quite as clear as they might be, but you can easily work them out, so that's a pretty minor point. Buy it!
