Book Reviews of Ghost Girl: The True Story of a Child in Peril and the Teacher Who Saved Her

Book Review: not just any true story....
Summary: 5 Stars

i loved this book. this is my first time reading any of her work. and i'm very impressed. the story of a young girl who cries out for help by being an elective mute. a teacher who saves Jadie from the spiders, the characters from dallas, and most of all from that which makes her feel like she has to bend over to hold her insides in.

Book Review: A hauntingly real story...
Summary: 5 Stars

A hauntingly real story of a child in need who reaches out, and the gifted teacher that helps her. Torey Hayden has a wonderful way of pulling you into her life as it happened, and allows you to experience the pain as well as the joy of her work. I highly recommend this book to educators or people who are in contact with children labelled "emotionally disturbed". Way to go Torey!

Book Review: This is the best, most amazing book I have ever read,
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best book I have ever read. I love the author so much. All of the books she has written are capturing, you can't put the book down untill you are done. When you are done you want it to keep going. I have read every book except for 1 by Torey Hayden and I don't want to read the last one because then I know there won't be any left to read.

Book Review: Hayden's Ghost Girl is the best!
Summary: 5 Stars

Torey Hayden has once again proven herself as an amazing writer. This book will keep your attention until the last page is read. Hayden manages to show all elements of human compassion and love, so much so, that the reader loves her characters tremendously as well. This book is amazing!

Book Review: It will keep you up at night...
Summary: 5 Stars

Another Torey masterpiece! This is one of the most haunting, chilling books I have ever read. Jadie's words, her stories of the horrible, unspeakable ritualistic abuse she has suffered... Makes my skin crawl. And as always, Torey's amazing way of reaching the unreachable has touched my heart. This book (along with all her others) strengthens my feelings of fascination for emotionally disturbed children like Jadie... That "rush" that goes through me is what fuels my desire to become a SpEd teacher and devote all that I can to children! Be sure to also check out One Child, if you haven't yet done so! (It was *required* reading for one of my college courses last semester -- I was overjoyed! :-)) Britta
