Book Reviews of Ghost Girl: The True Story of a Child in Peril and the Teacher Who Saved Her

Book Review: Really enjoyed the book but...........
Summary: 5 Stars

Really enjoyed this book, in fact I couldn't put it down and read it in a day! But felt at the end I wanted to know more and I had quite a few unanswered questions. Perhaps I missed the point that we still don't know if it actually happened. Great all the same, perhaps Torey could write update book, five years on!?!?!

Book Review: horrifyingly compelling!
Summary: 5 Stars

You dont want to believe this is a true story, but it is.Very harrowing, but so compelling, you wont be able to put it down. The marvellous unstinting determination of Torey Hayden shines through in this haunting tale of corruption and evil.Thank goodness it had a happy ending for ghost girl.Gripping account that will have you in tears by the end. Recommend highly.

Book Review: disturbing yet fascinating
Summary: 4 Stars

I have read one child and tigers child by Hayden prior to reading this book. i thoroughly enjoyed both of those and expected something similar in this book.

although this is in the style of other hayden books, this i found was considerably disturbing, possibly more that the others. despite this, it was a gripping book, like haydens others books. however, this had an edge which after you finished the chapter made you shudder.

a fascinating book which has various lines for the read to follow and leaves you hanging until the end

a hayden classic

please keep writing!

Book Review: You will not put this book down
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't normally read a lot of books - so for me to read this book in 2 nights was really something !! This story will bring out so many emotions in you - it really is worth reading. I am now going to read Torey's other books and can't wait.

Book Review: Another masterpiece, but different from her others...
Summary: 5 Stars

I had read One Child and I loved that and I bought the sequel which I have also read. I bought this one as soon as it came out.
This book is about a child called Jadie who is an elective mute (doesn't talk because she doesn't want to) and when she does start to talk, the stories she tells Torey disturb her and draw her closer to her. I don't want to say more as it may ruin it, but it is a good read.
As someone else has said, this isn't for the faint of heart. But it depends on that and not your age, I am 15 for example. It did disturb as I have never read anything like this before and every thing is detailed. A good thing though for me.
You really feel for the child, Jadie, and sometimes you can't quite believe what is happening at times.
Couldn't put it down, and I had to with great difficulty. It is different to her other books by the fact that it may disturb some people more so than other novels similar to this. This book really made me think too.
Buy it if you already love Hayden but if you are a 'first time buyer' of Hayden or any other real life reads, don't go for this one as it is intense. I'd recommend One Child by Hayden.
