Book Reviews of Ghost Girl: The True Story of a Child in Peril and the Teacher Who Saved HerBook Review: Very Sad Summary: 4 StarsI was given this book by someone on holiday. I started reading it in the morning and had finished it by the end of the day.
This is a very sad story but amazing at the same time how Torey got Jadie to open up.
Book Review: Haunting but enthralling Summary: 5 StarsI read this book first time round in one huge gulp, it gripped me from start to finish, there were no boring bits, in fact it shocked me more and more as i progressed. You would call Torey Hayden disturbed if this stuff wasn't true. I think it is wonderful that she is able to change the lives of these poor, poor children.
Her other books are just as good.
Some really queasy moments, not for the faint hearted. But a brilliant read that will stay with you for a long time.
Book Review: Incredible Summary: 5 StarsThis was such an incredible read, I could not put this book down. I read it in a day, Torey Hayden is absolutely amazing with the children she works with. I was so moved after reading this, such a good read.
Book Review: truely amazing Summary: 5 Starscouldnt put this book down from start to finish.torey hayden is truely amazing.there should be more people like her.i have read a few of her books and they have all been really very good reads and i have cried my eyes out reading them.
Book Review: Compelling Summary: 5 StarsI was given this book by my friend after having seen Torey Hayden books on the shelf but never actually reading one. I was hooked. It deals with a subject that no one likes to think about in a very real and compelling way. I like the style of writing and I also like that then book was about the other children in the class. There were some very humorous moments that I felt the book needed to break up the harshness of the main subject. I enjoyed the descriptions of the classroom scenes and felt that I understood Torey better as a person during these insights. A really great read with some very real descriptions of shocking events. I will definitely be reading more by Torey Hayden.
