For anyone interested in studying the journey of the Word of God through the ages, for anyone intimidated by the weighty subject matter of Bible history, Dr. Sam Gipp has saved you years of research and frustration.
This book is actually readable to non-scholars while providing numerous references to primary sources. I've already upset the NIV Bible-pushing International Bible Society twice now by confronting them with material from Dr. Gipp's book.
My only suggestion is that it would be beneficial in future editions to include images of important source documents, such as 'Tatian's diatessaron', which prove the validity of maligned verses in the KJV such as 1 John 5:7. Overall, this book is a must-have for understanding the origin of the New Testament manuscripts.
