Book Reviews of Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the WorldBook Review: Giving is obsolete Summary: 1 StarsIt's ironic that this book is available on Kindle, since Amazon's TOS prohibit you from giving a Kindle e-book to anyone else.
Book Review: laundry list, boring to read Summary: 1 StarsI agree with most all the 1 star reviews here. I'm very liberal and still felt that the book was a long list of statistics and descriptions of big money charitable efforts as well as efforts by those without big money. The reading just gets very tedious about a third of the way through. I also agree with other reviewers that I get a feeling a staff of researchers and editors put this book together rather than Bill.
Book Review: Truly inspirational Summary: 5 StarsI understand that Bill Clinton can be a polarizing figure. However, after reading Giving, I think anyone could gain something from it if they are willing keep an open mind. It is positive, inspiring and well-written. It motivated me to look into several of the organizations highlighted in the book. His anecdotes and statistics are great. And sure, he gives Hillary, Chelsea and his self a few plugs, but he also discusses some of the philanthropic work being done by Republicans and Democrats alike. I would urge anyone to pick it up.
Book Review: giving how each of us can change the world Summary: 5 StarsI have read the reviews and look foward to reading the President's book. There seems to be some similarity between Cooking Famously and Giving. Famous Recipes (including Bill Clinton's Enchiladas that he kindly shared) and a list of charities including charity awareness and wise giving practices in the former book. We can all change the world by giving and giving wisely. Cooking Famously
Book Review: A campaign for his wife... Summary: 2 StarsThe book is great if the purpose was to teach you really how to give but I guess the book is more about how much WE, the Clinton/Rodham family give!! and how wonderful our friends are (Bill Gates,Warren Buffett,...)
I think the timing of the book matches Hillary's campaign and I doubt the purpose...
I personally didn't feel the need to finish the book and left it as soon as I felt I don't have time for propagandas!
