Book Reviews of God Gave Us YouBook Review: Mostly good- way too long though Summary: 3 Stars
The book is cute but goes on and on... and on. Don't expect that an average one, two, or even three year old would sit through this entire book as the story drags out. It would be a 5 star book if it excluded the unnecessary messages of hospital birth and bottle feeding and stuck to a length appropriate for children. This is one of those books that you could buy for a baby shower gift for that person at work who you aren't really sure what else to get them and they've put bottles on their registry and you know they attend church on Sundays.
Book Review: My 13 month love it Summary: 5 Stars
When I read this book to my 13 month old daughter, she loves it. It is a great book to help children understand how God loves us. So do the parents.
Book Review: My FAVORITE book for baby so far! Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this book! I cried the first time I read it and still do! What a gift from God, indeed, a child is and it is refreshing to talk about God's role in our childrens' lives. I have looked at and purchased many books in preparation for my little one, and this one BY FAR impressed me most. I highly recommend this book if you want to talk about God and you sheer joy for your baby!
Book Review: New Grandma Summary: 5 Stars

Book Review: Nice Pregnancy Primer for Toddlers :) Summary: 4 Stars
If you're looking for a way to introduce your young child to the idea of children coming from somewhere other than the stork, one book with potential is *God Gave Us You* written by Lisa Tawn Bergren and illustrated by Laura J. Bryant.
In a nice, cute animal-character kind of way, this book explains that children are from God. Without getting into graphic details, it teaches kids that they grew inside their mommy's tummy and then came out when they were ready.
A good intro, but if the child is old enough or inquisitive enough, be prepared to answer the question about how the child gets in the mommy's tummy in the first place!
As for the artwork, it was beautifully done and complements the story very nicely.
For the record, Multnomah gave me a free copy of this book for review.
