Book Review: Equality for women in God's perspective with proof from the Bible

A supremely interesting read for any woman who wants to understand what the Bible really says about womens role in the home and in church. This book is not what you would call easy reading, it requires much thinking to go along with it. I had my interlinear Bible and lexicons open beside me double checking Bushnells claims the whole way. Some of Bushnells thoughts are interesting but perhaps she was grasping at straws a bit in some instances. However MOST of the book confirms what women have always known in their hearts - God wants us to be used (not abused) at home and at church and the scripture bears this out. Bushnell points out erroneous translation regarding many passages about women in the Bible. Christian women will feel liberated after reading this book, particulary if you have suffered 'spiritual abuse' by churches who command silence from women, supress women or demand uncut hair or veiling as a head covering! This book was enlightening to me and my family!
I would recommend that you read "Oh Thou Woman that bringest good tidings" by Dana Hardwick as a companion read.
