While I haven't went through the death of a spouse, having been through other death's in my life, I feel that Good Grief is a realistic look at grief. At the scary stuff, the unexpected, the stages we go through, the humerous parts, the memories and how we try to cope and move forward.
Lolly Winston's first book is a treasure. I haven't read anything so real in a long time. Anything that just gets down to it and there's no holds barred. She does an excellent job of taking you through the stages that this widow goes through. And what's more, just when you start to get depressed that this is such a sad story, things do turn around and the story becomes about more than just grief. Really enjoyed it and I plan on reading her second novel!
