Book Review: Even Armageddon Could Be Humorous

Mr. Gaiman and Mr. Pratchett have combined their talent in creating a wild fiction about good and evil, angel and demon, friend and foe. The first half is full of eleven years worth of events leading up to the final day. A lot happen on the last day of the world which fills up the second half of the book. Many odd and witty characters are introduced in the book but a reader could easily pick out the important ones as they move along pretty quickly throughout the story. The roles consist of humans, angels, demons, nuns, mothers, fathers, aliens, witches, animals, voice of god, and such. The list provided after the "In the beginning" chapter is quite useful too. Thus, an antichrist is delivered to earth as a baby, seen by a fallen angel and a group of satanic nuns. Confusion ensues and eleven years pass where incidents are surely to take place - most of them amusing. During the last day of the promised apocalypse more bizarre occurrences continue to entertain the reader. The ending is simply tied together quite nicely. Mr. Gaiman's and Mr. Pratchett's humor is definitely worth the time of a reader who appreciates fun and drollness in their fantasies.
