Book Reviews of Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, WitchBook Review: A riotous romp through the Apocalypse! Summary: 5 StarsI never knew the end of the world would be so funny! Yet here, Armageddon has a whole new look and feel to it. The good guys and the bad guys are hard to tell apart at times, and it can be difficult to decide who you're pulling for. A decidedly unorthodox view of things, Good Omens made me laugh out loud as I read -- and if you knew me, you'd realize there could be no higher praise for this delightful book
Book Review: The end of the world's never been so funny Summary: 5 StarsFans of either Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett will love this
book.It tells the story of a reluctant anti-christ, who
having been switched at birth, is raised as a normal boy.
When Adam and his friends decide to destroy the world
and start again (kids, eh?) he realises just how much
resonsibility he has for the fate of mankind.
This book has everything, humour, likeable (and more to
the point convincing) characters, and an exciting plot
leading to a climactic ending. For a book about the
Apocalypse there are thankfully few morals
Book Review: Hysterically funny; A great read. Summary: 5 StarsIf books are based on a 2000-calorie per day diet, Good Omens is Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory
Book Review: Witty, dark, and thought-provoking. Summary: 5 StarsWouldn't it be amusing if the world really did (nearly) end like this?? A laugh-out-loud, tounge-in cheek look at religion in the world today
Book Review: The BEST book ever concerning the Apocalype!!!!!! Summary: 5 StarsGaiman and Pratchett have outdone themselves with their slant of the Apocalypse in "Good Omens". They find every nuance in in Bible and play it up with their styles. Speaking of their styles, I have not seen a collaboration run so smoothly as this, and I hope to see much more come from these two! This is a must-read for everyone who has ever wondered about what exactly Angels and Devils think of all of us "hairless monkeys". Just the Prologue on their view of Genesis will keep you rolling on the floor for hours! It seems that both authors have outdone themselves in this book
