Book Reviews of Good ThingsBook Review: Enjoyed the book!! Summary: 4 Stars
I enjoyed the book very much. Ms. King kept the book moving. Only one teeny problem. The 'romance' scenes were too much! Sometimes the less said, the better. Of course, I read it but I thought they were too detailed. (more like 4.5 stars out of 5)
Book Review: Entertaining - light read Summary: 4 Stars
I enjoyed reading this book during my pregnancy. It allowed me to put down the birthing books and read a nice entertaining and uplifting novel to balance the health stuff out a bit.
I look forward to Mia King's sequel 'Table Manners'.
Book Review: Entertaining, easy read... Summary: 5 Stars
Mia King's first novel Good Things is so delectable just like those corn fritters! It is a quick easy read that was a lot of fun! I am anxiously awaiting the next book from her!
Book Review: Fabulous Book Summary: 5 Stars
This book was fabulous & very inspiring. Deidre McIntosh was able to take her crumbling career and on her own work to revive it all on her own, without seeking help from others. There is also a wonderful love story of Deidre and Kevin. The story of the holidays was great to read and there is even a bit of humor in the story.
Book Review: Fabulously written feel-good book Summary: 5 Stars
A friend recommended this book to me, and once I started reading, I couldn't put it down . . . literally. When I closed the book, it was 5am, and I'm not the all-night-reader type. Mia's attention to detail in her writing transported me to the Pacific Northwest where I could smell the mouth-watering recipes. The plot is never dull and "Good Things" is definitely a "fun", "feel-good" read. I'd highly recommend this book for your next airplane/beach/vacation book.
