Book Reviews of Good ThingsBook Review: Heartfelt Romance for Foodies Summary: 5 Stars
Deidre is my kind of gal - loves food, picks herself back up, brushes off the unexpected faux-pas' and laughs out loud. Enjoyable reading for a girls' gettaway or plane ride! Pass a few copies onto my foodie girlfriends for the holidays.
Book Review: I finished the book , wanting a sequel! Summary: 5 Stars
I thought that Mia King's Good Things was a great story! I loved that she had a strong female character that goes through a rough patch and comes out on top again in the end. When I finished reading this book, I immediately wanted to read more of her and find out what she does next, that's when I realized that Table Manners was the sequel to this book and I was delighted! Theya are both quick, light reads but are writtten extremely well!
Book Review: I just liked the ending. Summary: 3 Stars
The book was okay, I wasn't too thrilled with all this food preparations..
maybe it's because I don't like to cook and I sure don't enjoy reading about it (for a moment I felt like I was reading recipes book).
Book Review: It is a "Good Thing"... Summary: 5 Stars
Great book with a refreshing twist of wit and intellectual humor. A lot of fun the whole way through! Looking forward to more from Mia King!
Book Review: Keep It Simple Summary: 5 Stars
Good Things is a modern romance story about a 40-year-old woman, Deidre McIntosh, who teaches women to live simple but ironically lives a chaotic life herself. As Deidre encounters many challenges with her career and personal life, she finds it hard to strive for a simple lifestyle. The characters are very believable and the plot has twists that make for an interesting story. From the beginning, it grabbed my interest as I enjoy reading romance novels with relationship confrontations. It's a well-written book. It reminds me to keep things simple.
