Book Review: dont judge a book by its cover !

Dont be fooled, or put off by the "naff" cover,as I was initially !This book/dvd combo. contains some wonderfully fresh new perspectives,along with a deep and healthy respect for the background tradition and heritage of the Tango. Some great and in depth information I hadnt come across before on the fascinating history and culture lying at the roots of the Tango.I found the approach to the structure and mechanics of the dance an immensely valuable addition to my current understanding,which has helped clear up a few unnecessarily grey fuzzy areas for me in a wonderfully clear and simple way . For me it was worth getting just for the section on the 8 count "giro con sacadas".A great practice sequence leading to probably the most useful turn on a crowded floor.I wish Id come across this way of presenting this style of turn a long time ago! Teachers take note !When you consider how much money you can spend on lessons,books,dvds etc. this combo. is ridiculously good value for money.A great companion for anyone starting out on their Tango adventure but also very valuable to the more experienced and serious student and devotee.To my mind a must have on the shelf of any Tango lover.Shame about the cover though !!!!!!!!!
