From chapter one to the last, I indulged myself in reading Perri Knize's 'Grand Obsession'. I read it slowly and savored each chapter. I could relate to so many of her adventures having just gone through my own quest for my perfect piano purchase as well.
From her 'must get back into piano playing' to her 'must find an upright that I can afford' to traveling to distance cities for the 'perfect piano'; and our common anticipation of our 'Marlene's arrival' and all, Perri kept this reader enticed. What could possibly happen next? Would her quest be satisfied and how?
The many places, pianos, and techs mentioned are all real and familiar. The quest, the mystery, the anxiety, the resolve are so well told.
I didn't want it to end.
A must read for anyone one who is going to have or has had such an adventure.
Five Stars.
