Book Review: Gravitation Ex: new extremes!

I reccommend reading Gravitation series before starting this manga otherwise you will run for the hills screaming in confusion and wondering if the world has gone mad! However die hard Gravitation fans might be scratching their heads too that this edition, as so much happens. At the end of the manga you will be wondering why the entire cast has lost the plot or their minds.
I am not saying this is a bad thing. Gravitation Ex kicks off where Gravitation ended. Eiri Yuki and Shuichi's arrival in New York leads them to lots of new mischief and misunderstandings. Biggest change is the child Riku who enters their life. The couple I doubt will ever be the same again after this. Shuichi is mama and Eiri is on the verge of becoming papa even though he murdered Riku's real father years ago. I promise that Shuichi is as mad as ever and the craziness that follows him around continues in this story. Oh and yeah the giant panda is back too... why there is a panda in Japan I don't know!
I gave this four stars as I love the original Gravitation and I see this has a lot of potential to be similar if the crazy background events died out for a bit. Hoping the next installment will see Shuichi be forced to grow up a tiny bit as he has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders with Riku and wounded Eiri (of course this is because of Shuichi!). One thing I did like about this was the continuation of Eiri's humanisation... he's becoming less cold and a bit more understandable as a human... though he is still as mean to Shuichi as he always was... but it is clear that he might view himself in a negative light but he sees Shuichi and his love for the annoying singer as a redemption. Great possibilities for the future if the story lines presented are seized but don't hold your breath... as in Gravitation the first series it might take us several volumes of madness to reach that point.
Still definitely worth a look in, I was dying with laughter at most points. Others rolling my eyes as it repeated much of the Gravitation background nonsense that steals away from the good points of the story!
