Book Reviews of Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane (The Underland Chronicles, Book 2)

Book Review: Gregor The Overlander and the Phophecy of Bane
Summary: 4 Stars

I did not read this book (yet) but my 13 year old son has. He is an avid reader. I saw the first one when searching for books that I thought would interest him. We got it, he loved it, and bought this second in the series. He loved it even more. We went camping last week and on the first night he stayed up well after the rest of us to finish the second half of this book. He said he couldn't stop.

Book Review: Excellent Sequel!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

In Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane, Gregor and his siter, Boots return to their home in New York City safely, along with their father.Gregor never really thought about the Underland because his father is sick from being held captive by the gnawers (rats) for the last two years. But when the roaches kidnap Boots at a trip to Centeral Park, Gregor is forced to go back. He returns to Regalia, to meet up with Luxa, Vikus, and his bond, Ares. Gregor reads the new prophecy, 'The Prophecy of Bane', and finds out that he has to go on another quest to kill a white rat called 'The Bane'. Along with danger, Gregor finds out about death, and the loss of someone you love. Suzanne Collins writes an amazing sequel to a Gregor the Overlander!

Book Review: Gregor the Overlander #2
Summary: 5 Stars

In the new book in the 'Gregor' series, Gregor is reluctnat to even think about the Underland, with his dad sick at home, and his parents on the brink of poverty. But after his sister is taken back by the roaches, Gregor has no choice but to follow her. Now he has a new prophecy to deal with, this one describing a dangerous white rat called 'the Bane'. Gregor must go with some old friends from his past trip, along with some new ones, to find the Bane, and, as the prophecy says, kill it.

This book was an improvement of the first one, and is more thrilling. I haven't read the next book in the series though, but it is hinted about in the end of this one. I would recommend this whole series to most fantasy readers, and give it five stars.

Book Review: Better than the first!
Summary: 5 Stars

Gregor the Overlander & The Prophesy of Bane is way better than the first book, in my opinion. This is because of the creative imagination of Suzanne Collins and the way she describes the characters in this underground world. This story has a bit more action and a lot more suspense. For example, Boots is lost with other companions. You'll have to read it to find out what happens to her. If you like Gregor the Overlander, you'll love The Prophesy of Bane.

Book Review: The best book
Summary: 5 Stars

Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane is a great book. It really follows Gregor the Overlander's rhythm. It keeps you on your toes at all times. In this one, the rats are very silly and Gregor is very lucky. If you read this one, be prepared to _have_ to read the next one. My favorite part was the discovery of the bane. It's a great book!
