Book Review: A Goog Beginning
Summary: 4 Stars
Greywalker is a good start in what appears to be the beginning of a series. Richardson is a good writer who writes the Private investigator material better than the paranormal. Harper Blaine is a tough PI who is adapting to being dead and brought back to life. She is drawn into the world ghosts, vampires, witches, and other things not of this world. The descriptions of the world between life and death were a little hard to get through, (hence the 4 stars) but the author didn't rely on the heroine's love life with vampires as so many in this genre do. I was a big fan of Hamilton's Anita Blake until the series became nothing but orgasms with a little plot thrown in for diversity. If you like paranormal of vampire novels this one is worth a try. I'm more than willing to read the second one to see where the author is going. If you're familiar with Seattle WA you'll enjoy the big part the area play in the plot.
