Book Reviews of Guerrilla WarfareBook Review: Read his motorcyle Diaries as well Summary: 4 Stars
This guerilla warfare manual is a modern day Machiavelian work . . . a here and now Prince, CHE is a brilliant writer and i suggest looking into an other of his writing's about his motor cylce trip through south america at the age of 24, and get into the head of the only non-cuban in Castro's entarouge . . .
Book Review: Shame, Shame on you. Summary: 3 Stars
This is actually a review of the reviews. It would appear that persons who read about revolution and guerrilla warfare are a bit illiterate. They seem unable to spell correctly, and have a problem with sentence fragments. Che would have laughed, had he been able to read English. Regardless, it takes very little education to fire a rifle, throw a Molotov cocktail or burn villages. Keep your soul, keep the peace.
Book Review: Some good content hidden in jungle of propaganda Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased and read this book because I had read a biography on Che Guevera ("Che"), and was expecting hardcore, insightful, tactical and managerial information. The truth, however, is that this books is crammed with Che's own political ideologies, and one gets the impression that the author (sorry Che) is more interested in "convincing" than he is in "explaining". Truth be told, many people (including Che himself) have tried to stage and carry out revolutions based on the teachings of this book-- Che himself tried and failed twice, paying with his life the second time. I have no hard numbers on the others, but I suspect most of them are dead, or in prison. There are mountains of condradictions in his work. He tries to make revolution seem as simple as baking a cake. Che wants you to believe in this so much that he does not properly explore his own ideas. I would recommend this book to anybody who is interested in the life of Che Guevera, but only as a tool to gain a better understanding of who he was. As a book on tactics, there are some good tidbits, but I've seen other books with more quality information. I am a fan of Che, but not of this book.
Book Review: THE revolutionary handbook Summary: 5 Stars
He covers everything from what to carry while engaging in guerrilla warfare to how to wage the propoganda war. A lot of it is Cuba-specific though. Like China, Cuba's popular uprising was cultivated in the rural areas with a promise of agrarian reform. This was a departure from the Marxism/Leninism focus on the industrial proletariat. For the industrialized world, Che's insistance on sparking the revolution from rural areas would likely fail.
Book Review: The Guerilla Warfare Bible Summary: 5 Stars
Ive read every book you could find in Amazon.com about guerilla warfare and improvised explosives, muntions, etc. and this book is the most informational and best written out of them all.
