Book Review: Disappointed with the translation
Summary: 3 Stars
An excellent poet certainly deserving a wider audience, but, in my modest point of view, this translation falls short of giving the color and emotion of the original. Too dry a translation, even lacking the punctuation that will give more cohesion and structure to the text. All in all, though, worthwhile reading, having in mind the lack of English translations of lesser known medieval Italian poets.
