Book Review: An insight into a legend!
Summary: 4 Stars
One listen to Cemetary Gates will let you know that Dimebag is a guitar legend. This book is an excellent insight into the man's technique, riffs and philosophy on guitar. There are many examples (both written and on the included CD) of classic Pantera songs and also exercises that will improve any player (there are too many to mention). The reason that I only give the package "4 stars", is that many examples are tuned a whole step down (as the originals) and as a result re-tuning or changing guitars can be an inconvenience if you are working through the book.
The book is well written and the examples are played by Dimebag himself, and is NOT a cheap "in the style of", like many publications.
A must for all fans of the great man.
RIP Dimebag.
