Book Review: ...and better and better and better...

Now, THIS is my favorite in the series!
I began reading these books with my wife last November, somewhere halfway though the Goblet of Fire we stopped reading to each other so that we could read them at our own pace, that was a few weeks ago and I have since zoomed through to this one.
This is the book that I felt The Order of the Phoenix should have been, where darkness really does begin to fall upon the wizarding world created by Rowling. There is a very predictable twist toward the end that we all saw coming since book one, but I was not able to guess who the Half-Blood Prince was and was surprised and excited when it was revealed.
There isn't much in the way of new characters and obviously the story focus' mainly on Harry, Hermione and Ron, though since the direction that The Order of the Phoenix took us I had hope to read much more of Neville and Luna.
I don't see how this book can be disliked by Harry Potter fans, as it is just as exciting, if not more so, and a more informative glimpse into the Harry Potter saga. This book has now become my favorite in the series, and I'd be surprised if fans of HP don't feel similarly.
