Book Review: Taylor is full of Heart and Soul Summary: 5 Stars"Heart Full of Soul", is one of the best books I have read in a very long time.
Taylor talks from his heart. It is bitter-sweet. Funny and sad. It tugs at your heart strings. On one page you will laugh and on another page it will bring tears to your eyes. I gave it the 5 stars because it is that good.
If you like Taylor Hicks or you don't know him. You will enjoy this book.
I am so happy that I bought "Heart Full of Soul". Don't miss out, buy this book.
Book Review: Heart Full of Soul is great entertainment Summary: 5 StarsI loved both the book and the audio version of Taylor's book it was great to get to hear Taylor in his own words tell about his experiences in life and on American Idol. Hearing him tell about what it was really like on the reality show and what life was like on the road before becoming famous, the ups and downs of playing gigs when you are just an up and coming band just starting out in the music business trying to get people to book you, and then becaming a household name, was very fasinating. Plus he tells you about his childhood and what he was like when he was little! The cd was great, but you should buy both the book and the cd because the book offers more information and interesting facts but to get to hear him read the book in his own voice makes the cd well worth it. I highly recommend both the cd and the book to anyone who is a fan of Taylor's or even if you are not a fan because he tells you important life lessons, such as not giving up on your dreams especialy when it seems that you are not getting where you want to go at the time and to keep pushing forward and not to let anything discourage you from tryjng your best. Book Review: His Heart Is Full Of Soul Summary: 4 StarsI sat down and read the book straight through as soon as I received it, as I am wont to do with books I enjoy. I felt it was an interesting read and shed a lot of insight into how he developed into the singer and performer that he has become. I would have liked to know even more about his childhood and early teen years, but was very moved by what he shared. It was also interesting to realize that he really had a plan for winning American Idol, an obviously successful plan, and definitely showed what an asset his experience was in the overall contest. I have already loaned my copy to a friend to read and would highly recommend it.
Book Review: An Inspiring and Honest Memoir of Taylor's Life Summary: 5 StarsI received this book and couldn't put it down and when it came to the end I didn't want it to end. I was extremly pleased with the honesty that Taylor put forth and it is so nice to read about "real" people lives and the thing with Taylor is he doesn't let all the stardom get to him. He keeps it all real. He remembers where he came from and what he endured to get where he is now. I thank him for sharing his journey and childhood memories. He certainly didn't have to be as honest as was.
