Book Review: No soft picture of the silver arrows
Summary: 5 Stars
I have been interested in the German Silver Arrow racing teams for several years and have read many books about the cars, drivers, and the political involvement. This is the most comprehensive study I've read so far.
I, like many others, have glossed over the Nazi influence on the German racing scene prior to the war. By that I mean the use Hitler made of sports and the military displays that furthered his message of "German superiority". The author reveals how companies and drivers danced to this tune and refutes post war claims to the contrary.
Because of his research and pros it's no wonder the author has won awards for this book.
I encourage this book to anyone who would like to read a true description of the prewar Grand Prix racing.
