I grew up a basketball fan. I'm not sure why my parents let that happen, but John Davidson has helped to correct one of their few mistakes.
As a junior at SUNY Oswego, I was elected sports director of the college's radio station and found myself in a position where I would have to call play-by-play for school's most popular sport: hockey. My parents purchased this book for me and it was a life/career saver. I went from a guy who didn't know what "the point," "the slot," or "the half-boards" were to an announcer who was considered to be among the best in division III college hockey (I'm not making it up! Check the [...] message boards and search my name.) This book, and [...] Joe Gladziszewski are largely responsible for that transformation.
Book Review: a good book for beginers and old fans alike

this book was suprisingly very good. I really liked that it had a work out to follow and tips on playing from the pros to get you started playing hockey. It is also imformative for new hockey fans and fans like myself who have loved the game for some years nowBook Review: not recieved book
