CPB 4th PeriodThe award winning book "Holes", by Louis Sachar was a beautifully written book that keeps readers on the edge of their seat through every page of the story. This fiction reading was eloquently written and continuously brings out the imagination of the book's audience. Throughout this book, "Hole" catches the interest of every reader by its strength in plot, characterization, and readability. "Holes" had a very strong and interesting plot throughout the book. The plot includes many situations involving, self-acceptance, a buried treasure, committed crime, and an unknown truth that is finally found. From reading "Holes" emotions and feelings are felt from reading this story. When the main character, Stanley, faced death twice, the books audience is right there with the Stanley hoping with all their might. Throughout the novel its audience will always be second-guessing, what will happen next? At the end of the book everything is connected together to support the events that had taken place earlier in the book. This book had very strong and vivid descriptions of characterizations. Throughout "Holes", Stanley's feelings are expressed in such a way that gets the audience thinking. When he feels scared, the audience is clutching the book hoping Stanley finds safety. Each and every character is given a different and original personality. It is interesting seeing how all their personalities connect and how they together respond to situations. Louis Sachar wrote "Holes" as a simple reading but also developed it into an exiting and breathtaking book. The Readability was very impressive; there was a strong story yet it is easily understood. This book is very captivating and definitely captures the interest of all of its readers. The ideas in this book are written so that they can be easily understood. Although the story is somewhat easy to read, there is still a rich vocabulary present in the book. "Holes" was easy to follow and was a thrilling and adventurous book to read. Any Person who reads "Holes" should be ready with one hundred and ten percent satisfaction. Louis Sachar's story had no weaknesses but had numerous strengths. The plot, characterization, readability, and interest of this book were strong. "Holes" can leave no audience disappointed. It displays every characteristic and strength that every book should also have.
