Book Review: Hoops Summary: 3 Stars
The book I read was Hoops. It was not a very good book in my opinion. The story line was not very good, not the best walter has done yet. The characters in the book were kinda childish and didn't really seem realistic. The action in the book was ok but it was very repetive. I think the book is for younger kids. It was a decent basketball book but I have read better books.
Book Review: Hoops Summary: 3 Stars
Hoops by Walter Dean Wyers is about a basketball player named Lonnie Jackson. The main characters are Lonnie Jackson and his caoch, Cal. Lonnie's team is in a city tournament. I did not have a favorte character in this book.I could relate to the story because I play basketball. I couldn't really relate to the characters because they are city kids, not very respectful to adults. I recommend this book to people who play or like basketball. (13 and up)

"Swoosh". He made the shot. Hoops is a non-fiction story. Hoops is called hoops because it is about basketball.
There's a kid named Lonnie Jackson. There is a tournament going on. Now Lonnie and Cal (Lonnie's coach) have to make a decision if they want to blow the chance of a lifetime.
If you like basketball you should read it. If you have to read a book then just get Hoops because it's short and easy to read. I rate this book a 5 out of 10.

HOOPS
This story is about seventeen-year-old Lonnie Jackson who is a terrific basketball player who participated in a citywide basketball tournament of champions. Lonnie's coach Cal knows he can make it to the NBA if he doesn't pressure it. Cal knows because he once? Had A chance. Could Lonnie and his teammates blow a chance of a lifetime.
Hoop's is one of the best basketball books I've read yet. It will thrill you as you read through this book's pages at a time. This book will leave your moth wide open and surprised by the end of the book. Since this book was so good I would rate this book at the top.
