Book Review: "How Do I Tell?"
Summary: 5 Stars
"How Do I Tell," is a great love story by Kieran Scott. I would rate this book at a perfect score of 10. It has everything a teenage girl would like to read about in the concept of love. As from a boys perspective the review would probably be lower, because a male's opinion on love is quit different. The book takes place in high school and goes through the minds of different characters about what is going on in their personal love lives. Russell the main character is having girl problems, after getting dumped he goes from girl to girl trying to find the perfect one, when he finally does there is a barrier between him and his "ideal" girl. In the end everything works out in one way or another with a few costly exceptions. "I can't believe you didn't kiss her." (Page 111) This quote is Russell's friend telling him how he missed his chance. Kieran Scott's style of writing is very unique. Each of the chapters is named after one of the characters in the book, that character speaks in first person throughout the chapter. The author's imagery is absolutely wonderful; the feelings of the characters seem so real that you feel like you are experiencing it at the same time. The suspense makes you want to keep reading. If you liked "Torn Apart" by Janet Quien-Harkin or "The Rumor About Julia" by Stephanie Sinclair, you'll like this book.
