Book Review: How to Draw Pokemon by Tracey West
Summary: 2 Stars

The instructions on how to draw Pokemon are OK - info is very limited. The book is very thin and not worth the money. Was disappointed in it.

I bought this 'scholastic" book. my daughter loves to draw and has talent at drawing. AND she loves pokemon! the book is thin, more like a magazine! 32 pages. THEY are 18 pokemon in it that u can learn to draw. AND also, if you would like, it kind of doubles as a coloring book. the way they are drawn in the book, u could also color them...because the paper is like coloring book paper in it the book also. i hope this helps

Book Review: How to draw a very few Pokemon
Summary: 2 Stars

Simple, small, lacking in content. I'd love to see this book with perhaps 5 times the content and perhaps some, "how do draw backgrounds" for your Pokemon scene. How to draw a Tree, House, and so on, would be welcome content to this book that simply capitalizes on the Pokemon craze.

Pretty simple and disapointing.

Book Review: I didn't know I could draw Pokemon!
Summary: 5 Stars

The title for this review really states my reaction and response to the "How To Draw Pokemon". This book is very organized, with a introduction on what you'll need and do, then it has step by step instructions, and easy Pokemon - difficult Pokemon layout. I first find myself starting on the first Pokemon in the book, Igglybuff. Once I finish the cute puff ball, I look at what I have accomplished and it feels good to see my version of Igglybuff. I started getting really into drawing these cute and fierce creatures. I am a huge fan of Pokemon and love the selection of Pokemon in this book.
There is...
IggyBuff
Cleffa
Chikorita
Cyndaquil
Totodile
Croconaw
Wobbuffet
Pikachu
Pichu Twins
Togepi
Meowth
Houndour
Gyarados
Ursaring
Lugia
Entei
Ash and Pikachu

As you can see there are a lot to choose from. And they give you different ways to draw them (but not for all the Pokemon) and sometimes the evolution of them. Like after you draw Igglybuff the book has a picture of Jigglypuff and challenges you to draw her. One thing that I don't like is the way the book has for drawing Chikorita. She looks mean in the drawing, I wanted to draw her standing or something but not looking mean.
The book doesn't have color, so make sure that you have a Handbook or Pokedex book to look at what the colors that are for the Pokemon (if you want to make them look realistic). The book is great and the instructions are great for my age but not sure if it will be good for younger kids. I think if you want to learn how to draw Pokemon this is a great book.
