Book Review: A very good starter for the committed player but not on own

I have had this book on the shelf for years and I finally picked it up as I had booked guitar lessons. If a reader went through the whole book step by step and did all the exercises and followed all the instructions they would, from being a complete novice, gain a very good proficiency with a guitar. However, I have found that it has worked best in conjunction with the lessons and the blend has worked very well. I would recommend it to anyone really interested in playing the guitar for the first time.Peter Burns
