Book Review: A great book even if you don't do the scheme
Summary: 4 Stars
I read this book about 3 or 4 months ago and fully intended to do the reading scheme. However, what with one thing and another, I've not yet got round to it, but the whole thinking behind it has stayed in my mind ever since and every parent should read it. Doman tells us some amazing facts about the way the brain works and how it develops and more specifically about how your child learns. It will really change your perspective about you talk to your child and realise how much they really are capable of learning.Oh and if you're worried that it may be a bit too American and pushy, well, it's not like that at all. This book is not about creating gifted children; it's about letting your child have the best fun possible - which incidently they get when they're learning, apparently!
And if I ever get round to using the flash cards i made, i'm sure it will be fantastic!
