I have read the complete Dune Series by the original author and found them to be quite insightful and entertaining. Though this new book doesn't contain all the philosophical musings of Frank Herbert's books it nevertheless is a good book. This book reads more like a scifi adventure and does a very good job at that. However, the book does bring up a lot of references to events in the prequels (particularly the Bultlerian Jihad), which if you haven't read can be completely lost on you. I can say I am looking forward to the next book and seeing how it all ends.Book Review: Entertaining with Some Flaws

A large part of this book was enjoyable, with a few parts that made me cringe and wonder how much of the book was true to Frank Herbert's vision. A lot of the excitement of Books 5 and 6 is rekindled in "Hunters of Dune," but with all the buildup I was annoyed and disappointed to find out who the Great Enemy was. I also never bothered to read Brian Herbert's books, and didn't like elements of them being worked into "Hunters." True fans of Frank Herbert wanted to see his final genius unfold, not his son slapping his inferior prequel creations here and there. And I wouldn't read any of the prequels to put anything in "Hunters" into context -- it's a cheap marketing strategy. The cutesy ghola nursery scenes were also a mistake. All that being said, the action was thoroughly fun and the plot did contain some thrilling twists.Book Review: Excellent Book

Not only was I pleased with the delivery and quality of the purchase, but the book itself was an amazing read. It was a great addition to the Dune Universe! Great work to seller and author
