Book Reviews of I Can Share: A Lift-the-Flap Book

Book Review: "I Can Share" is anything but a book that specifically satisfies merrien webster's definition of "sharing"
Summary: 1 Stars

Merriam Webster's defines Sharing as:

1 to divide and distribute in shares : apportion --usually used with out <shared out the land among his heirs>
2 to partake of, use, experience, occupy, or enjoy with others
3 to grant or give a share in --often used with with <shared the last of her water with us>
4 to tell (as thoughts, feelings, or experiences) to others --often used with with
5 to have a share --used with in <we all shared in the fruits of our labor>
6 to apportion and take shares of something
7 to talk about one's thoughts, feelings, or experiences with others
8 A part or portion belonging to, distributed to, contributed by, or owed by a person or group.
9 An equitable portion: do one's share of the work.
10 Any of the equal parts into which the capital stock of a corporation or company is divided.
shared, shar·ing, shares
11 To divide and parcel out in shares; apportion.
12 To participate in, use, enjoy, or experience jointly or in turns.
13 To relate (a secret or experience, for example) to another or others.
14 To accord a share in (something) to another or others: shared her chocolate bar with a friend.
15 To have a share or part: shared in the profits.
16 To allow someone to use or enjoy something that one possesses: Being in daycare taught the child to share.
17 To use or enjoy something jointly or in turns: There is only one computer, so we will have to share.
18 have in common; "Our children share a love of music"; "The two countries share a long border"
19 assets belonging to or due to or contributed by an individual person or group; "he wanted his share in cash"
20 use jointly or in common any of the equal portions into which the capital stock of a corporation is divided and ownership of which is evidenced by a stock certificate; "he bought 100 shares of IBM at the market price"
21 partake: have, give, or receive a share of; "We shared the cake"
22 parcel: the allotment of some amount by dividing something; "death gets more than its share of attention from theologians"
23 give out as one's portion or share
24 contribution: the part played by a person in bringing about a result; "I am proud of my contribution in advancing the project"; "they all did their share of the work"
25 communicate; "I'd like to share this idea with you"
26 plowshare: a sharp steel wedge that cuts loose the top layer of soil

With that said, Karen Katz is at it again. Her book "I Can Share" is not only not a perfect illustration of Webster's definition of "sharing" but it is also not a perfect illustration of Webster's definition of "lobster pot" (: an oblong case with slat sides and a funnel-shaped net used to trap lobsters --called also lobster trap).

As if reading this book to my precious little child wasn't hard enough on him the first time, the second, third and fourth times will likely leave his delicate young brain scarred and traumatized for the remaining years of his life. And, if that wasn't enough, the fifth, sixth and seventh times I read this book to him (as he was bound to his high-chair) will not only scar him for life but inevitably lead him down a road of flagrant narcissism which can only develop into sociopathic tendencies, and eventually blossom into self-destructive, sadomasochistic, paleontological psychosis.

The worst part is, since I never let my child leave the confines of our studio apartment, this book doesn't even APPLY to him, since he has never had contact with another human being besides me (who plays with his toys anyway). Ms. Katz, please spare your readers the pain of sitting through another one your "novels" and just retire already.

On a more positive note, however, I liked the drawings.
